  1. 1. Wash the fig under running water.
  2. 2. Cut the fig in half.
  3. 3. Dust the cut surfaces of the fig halves with powdered sugar.
  4. 4. Place the figs in a bowl with port wine.
  5. 5. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes to let the figs absorb the flavor.
  6. 6. Fill the drinking glasses with ice cubes.
  7. 7. Pour sparkling wine (light sparkling wine) into the glasses.
  8. 8. Take a marinated fig out of the refrigerator and place it on the rim of the glass or in the drink.
  9. 9. Drizzle the remaining port wine over the fig.
  10. 10. Serve the cocktail immediately.
