  5. 5. Knead the dough briefly until it holds together.
  6. 6. Dust a work surface with flour.
  7. 7. Shape the dough into a rectangle and roll it out to a thickness of about 2.5 centimeters.
  8. 8. Cut out round shapes with a diameter of about 5 centimeters from the dough.
  9. 9. Place the scones on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  10. 10. Whisk the egg yolk.
  11. 11. Brush the scones carefully with the egg yolk.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  13. 13. Bake the scones for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
