🍽️ Fluffy Scones

Ingredients
- 225 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 50 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- 150 ml milk
- flour (for working)
- honey (for serving)
Instructions
- 1. Put the flour and baking powder into a large bowl.
- 2. Mix the dry ingredients well.
- 3. Cut the butter into small cubes.
- 4. Rub the butter cubes into the flour mixture with your fingertips.
- 5. Continue until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- 6. Stir the sugar into the butter-flour mixture.
- 7. Make a small well in the center of the bowl.
- 8. Pour the milk into the well.
- 9. Mix everything gently into a dough.
- 10. Lightly flour your work surface.
- 11. Knead the dough briefly with your hands until it is smooth.
- 12. Add a little more flour or milk if necessary.
- 13. Work until the dough no longer sticks to your hands.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (convection mode).
- 15. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 16. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.
- 17. Roll the dough pieces into round buns.
- 18. Place the buns on the tray with some space between them.
- 19. Bake the scones in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
- 20. Check the cooking time with a wooden skewer.
- 21. Remove the scones from the oven as soon as they are golden brown.
- 22. Let them cool on a wire rack.
- 23. Serve the scones warm or completely cooled.
- 24. Enjoy the scones with a dollop of honey.
