🍽️ Swiss-style Mushroom Gratin

Ingredients
- 800 g mushrooms
- 3 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 10 thin slices smoked bacon
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp fresh parsley
- fat (for the dish)
- 200 ml whipping cream (min. 30% fat content)
- 100 ml chicken broth
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 250 g Gruyère cheese
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Clean the mushrooms and wipe them with a damp kitchen cloth. Cut large mushrooms in half.
- 3. Peel the shallots and garlic cloves. Finely chop both.
- 4. Cut the bacon into strips. Fry them in the butter for 2 minutes until crispy.
- 5. Wash the parsley and chop it finely. Save a small portion for garnish.
- 6. Mix the mushrooms with the bacon, shallots, garlic, and chopped parsley.
- 7. Grease a baking dish. Add the mushroom mixture to it.
- 8. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 9. Pour cream and broth over the mushrooms.
- 10. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes.
