  1. 1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
  2. 2. Place a bowl over a pot of hot water and melt the chocolate pieces in it.
  3. 3. Let the melted chocolate cool down slightly.
  4. 4. Whisk the butter with the egg and sugar until the mixture becomes fluffy.
  5. 5. Stir the chopped hazelnuts and the cooled chocolate into the butter mixture.
  6. 6. Gently fold in the flour until it is just incorporated.
  7. 7. Place the dough in the refrigerator for one hour.
  8. 8. Shape the dough into a roll with a diameter of about 3 centimeters.
  9. 9. Cut the roll into diagonal slices about 7 millimeters thick.
  10. 10. Whisk the egg yolk with the powdered sugar until the mixture is frothy.
  11. 11. Brush the cookie slices with the egg yolk-sugar mixture.
  12. 12. Leave a small border around the edges.
  13. 13. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  14. 14. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  15. 15. Bake the cookies for about 10 to 12 minutes.
