  1. 1. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces using a knife.
  2. 2. Warm the butter in a pot over low heat and let it melt.
  3. 3. Add the chocolate pieces to the melted butter and stir until completely dissolved.
  4. 4. Remove the pot from the heat.
  5. 5. Whisk milk, egg, sour cream, and sugar with a hand mixer until the mixture is creamy.
  6. 6. Thoroughly mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, cocoa, and salt in a separate bowl.
  7. 7. Pour the milk-egg mixture and the chocolate butter into the flour mixture.
  8. 8. Stir everything with a cooking spoon until a smooth and homogeneous batter forms.
  9. 9. Grease the cups of a muffin tin with butter and dust them lightly with flour.
  10. 10. Fill the batter into the prepared molds.
  11. 11. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C for fan-assisted or gas mark 2–3).
  12. 12. Bake the muffins on the middle rack for about 25 minutes.
  13. 13. Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool for a moment.
  14. 14. Carefully release the muffins from the molds.
