🍽️ Homemade Chocolate Liqueur

Ingredients
- 60 g Sugar
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 80 g Dark chocolate couverture
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 pinch Cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch Cardamom (ground)
- 400 ml Heavy cream
- 250 ml Whisky (or Rum)
Instructions
- 1. Mix the sugar with the cocoa powder and 5 tablespoons of water until you have a smooth paste.
- 2. Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
- 3. Melt the chocolate pieces together with the honey, cinnamon, and cardamom over a bowl of hot water (bain-marie).
- 4. Bring the cream to a boil in a saucepan.
- 5. Remove the saucepan with the cream from the heat.
- 6. Stir the prepared cocoa mixture vigorously into the hot cream.
- 7. Add the melted chocolate mixture and stir everything well.
- 8. Let the mixture cool down completely, stirring it occasionally.
- 9. Whip the cooled mixture until creamy using a hand mixer.
- 10. Pour the whisky slowly into the cream while stirring continuously.
- 11. Pour the finished liqueur into a bottle.
- 12. Store the bottle in a cool and dark place.
- 13. Shake the liqueur well again before serving.
