🍽️ Spicy Chocolate Chili Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 shallots
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 chili pepper
- 200 g tomatoes
- 40 g dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp peanut oil
- 50 g almond kernels
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 pinch fennel seeds
- 2 tbsp vegetable broth
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the shallots and the garlic.
- 2. Wash the chili, remove the seeds, and chop it finely.
- 3. Chop the shallots, garlic, and chili very finely.
- 4. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes.
- 5. Cut the chocolate into small pieces.
- 6. Heat the oil in a pot.
- 7. Sauté the shallots, garlic, and chili until translucent.
- 8. Add the almonds and sauté them for 1 minute.
- 9. Add cinnamon, anise, and 2 tablespoons of water.
- 10. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 11. Blend the mixture until smooth.
- 12. Add the tomato cubes.
- 13. Let the sauce simmer for 3 minutes.
- 14. Stir in the chocolate pieces.
- 15. Let the sauce simmer for another 2 minutes.
- 16. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
