🍰 Double Delight: Chocolate Vanilla Cream

Ingredients
- 2 sheets white gelatin
- 1 vanilla pod
- 100 ml milk
- 60 g sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 2 egg yolks
- 30 g sugar
- 100 ml milk
- 150 ml whipping cream
Instructions
- 1. Soak the gelatin in cold water for five minutes.
- 2. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds.
- 3. Boil the milk together with the vanilla seeds and sugar for five minutes.
- 4. Whisk the egg yolks in a separate bowl.
- 5. Pour the hot milk into the egg yolks while stirring constantly with a whisk.
- 6. Place the bowl over a hot water bath and whip the mixture until creamy.
- 7. Squeeze out the soaked gelatin and stir it into the egg cream until dissolved.
- 8. Place the bowl in a cold water bath and continue whipping the cream until it is lukewarm.
- 9. Whip the cream until stiff and gently fold it into the cream mixture.
- 10. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place them in a bowl.
- 11. Melt the chocolate pieces over a warm water bath.
- 12. Whisk the egg yolks, sugar, and milk together in a bowl.
- 13. Place this mixture over a hot water bath and whip it until creamy.
- 14. Stir the melted chocolate into the egg cream.
- 15. Let the chocolate cream cool down briefly.
- 16. Whip the cream until stiff and fold it into the chocolate mixture.
- 17. Fill four tall glasses with alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate cream, about one centimeter high per layer.
- 18. Chill the creams in the refrigerator for about two hours until set.
