  2. 2. Add the grated lemon zest, squeezed lemon juice, a cinnamon stick, and sugar to the water.
  3. 3. Bring the liquid to a boil.
  4. 4. Peel the pears.
  5. 5. Cut the pears in half.
  6. 6. Core the pears.
  7. 7. Place the pears into the boiling syrup.
  8. 8. Cook the pears until tender for about 5 minutes.
  9. 9. Remove the fruit from the syrup.
  10. 10. Let the pears drain.
  11. 11. Let the pears cool down completely.
  12. 12. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  13. 13. Grease the cake pan with margarine.
  14. 14. Dust the pan with flour.
  15. 15. Grate the chocolate finely.
  16. 16. Put the sugar, brown sugar, vanilla sugar, flour, starch, cocoa, and baking powder into a bowl.
  17. 17. Mix the dry ingredients well.
  18. 18. Whisk the oil with the rice drink.
  19. 19. Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients.
