🍰 Chocolate cake with white chocolate cream

Ingredients
- 120 g dark chocolate coating
- 150 g butter
- 100 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200 g flour
- 50 g cornstarch
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 60 ml milk
- 200 g white chocolate coating
- 100 ml whipping cream
- 200 g mascarpone
- 700 g dark chocolate coating
- 350 ml whipping cream
- 120 g butter
- white chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Roughly chop the chocolate.
- 3. Melt the chocolate over a bowl of hot water (bain-marie).
- 4. Let the melted chocolate cool down.
- 5. Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- 6. Stir in the eggs one by one into the butter mixture.
- 7. Stir the cooled chocolate into the butter mixture.
- 8. Mix the flour with the starch, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
- 9. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
- 10. Pour in the milk and stir everything together.
- 11. Line a springform pan with baking paper.
- 12. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- 13. Smooth the surface of the batter.
- 14. Bake the cake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
- 15. Perform the skewer test to check if the cake is done.
- 16. Let the cake cool down slightly.
- 17. Carefully release the cake from the pan.
- 18. Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.
- 19. Slice the cake horizontally into two equal halves.
- 20. Roughly chop the white coating chocolate (white chocolate for coating).
- 21. Bring the cream to a boil.
- 22. Remove the cream from the heat.
- 23. Add the chopped white coating chocolate to the hot cream.
- 24. Stir until the coating chocolate has melted in the cream.
- 25. Let the chocolate mixture cool until it is still soft and creamy.
- 26. Add the mascarpone cheese to the mixture gradually.
- 27. Stir the filling until smooth and creamy.
- 28. Place one cake layer on a cake plate.
- 29. Spread the white chocolate filling over this layer.
- 30. Place the second cake layer on top.
- 31. Roughly chop the coating chocolate for the outer cream.
- 32. Place the chopped coating chocolate into a bowl.
- 33. Heat the cream for the outer cream.
- 34. Pour the hot cream over the coating chocolate.
- 35. Stir until the coating chocolate has completely dissolved.
- 36. Add the butter in small pieces to the chocolate mixture.
- 37. Stir the butter into the mixture until creamy.
- 38. Let the outer cream cool down.
- 39. Thickly coat the entire cake all around with the dark cream.
- 40. Decorate the cake with white chocolate shavings.
- 41. Serve the cake.
