  2. 2. Remove stems, seeds, or inedible parts.
  3. 3. Peel the fruits if necessary.
  4. 4. Cut everything into small, bite-sized pieces.
  5. 5. Arrange the fruits attractively on a platter.
  6. 6. Chop the chocolate into coarse pieces.
  7. 7. Place the chocolate pieces into the fondue pot.
  8. 8. Pour the cream over the chocolate.
  9. 9. Place the pot over very low heat.
  10. 10. Stir constantly until the chocolate melts.
  11. 11. Add some cognac if desired.
  12. 12. Place the fondue on the table.
  13. 13. Skewer the fruits onto the sticks.
  14. 14. Dip the fruits into the warm chocolate.
