🍳 Chocolate-Muesli Bars

Ingredients
- 50 g dried dates (pitted)
- 100 g nut mix
- 20 g highly defatted cocoa powder
- 250 g rolled oats
- 30 g flaxseeds
- 200 g dark chocolate (min. 70% cocoa content)
- 50 g hazelnut butter
- 300 g applesauce (or apple puree)
- 20 g unsweetened spelt flakes
- 20 g puffed amaranth
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch vanilla powder
- 0.5 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp organic orange peel
Instructions
- 1. Place dates, nuts, cocoa powder, oat flakes, and flaxseeds in a food processor or powerful blender and chop them roughly.
- 2. Chop 100 grams of chocolate and stir it together with hazelnut butter, apple puree, spelt flakes, amaranth, and spices into the date mixture.
- 3. Press the mixture firmly into a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius conventional heat (or 180 degrees Celsius fan/Gas Mark 3) for 20 to 25 minutes until the surface is browned. Let the bars cool in the pan.
- 4. Remove the bars from the pan and parchment paper, and cut them into 16 pieces. Melt the remaining chocolate, decorate the bars with it, and let them cool.
