🍽️ Chocolate Coconut Squares

Ingredients
- 400 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 100 g ground almond kernels
- 3 eggs
- 100 g brown sugar
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp rum
- 1 pinch cardamom
- 1 pinch clove
- 1 pinch coriander
- 1 pinch salt
- 150 g coconut flakes
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Line a baking pan (approx. 24 x 24 cm) with baking paper.
- 3. Melt 150 g of chocolate together with the butter over a hot water bath.
- 4. Mix the flour with the almonds and 50 g of roughly chopped chocolate in a bowl.
- 5. Whisk the eggs with the sugar, vanilla sugar, rum, and spices until well combined.
- 6. Fold the melted chocolate-butter mixture into the egg-sugar mixture.
- 7. Add the flour mixture and gently stir everything until a uniform dough forms.
- 8. Pour the dough into the prepared pan.
- 9. Bake the dough in the preheated oven for approx. 25 minutes.
- 10. Remove the tray from the oven and let the cake cool down completely in the pan.
- 11. Cut the cooled cake into small cubes with a side length of 3 cm.
- 12. Melt the remaining chocolate again over a hot water bath.
- 13. Coat the cubes evenly with the liquid chocolate.
