🍰 Chocolate Kaiserschmarrn with Vanilla Ice Cream and Nuts

Ingredients
- 3 Eggs
- 200 g Flour
- 50 g Cocoa powder
- 50 g Sugar
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 50 g Quark
- 350 ml Milk
- 60 g Walnut kernels
- Butter (for the pan)
- Icing sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Separate the eggs. Set the egg whites aside.
- 2. Whisk the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, quark (curd cheese), egg yolks, and milk in a bowl until smooth.
- 3. Let the batter rest for about 5 minutes.
- 4. Add a little more milk if the batter seems too thick.
- 5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (convection mode).
- 6. Grease an ovenproof pan, baking dish, or four small individual molds with butter.
- 7. Beat the reserved egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- 8. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the batter.
- 9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan or molds.
- 10. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the batter.
- 11. Bake the Kaiserschmarrn in the oven for about 15 minutes.
- 12. Remove the pan from the oven.
- 13. Tear the baked cake into small pieces using two spoons.
- 14. Dust the Kaiserschmarrn with powdered sugar.
- 15. Serve the Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla ice cream as desired.
