🍽️ Hearts Full of Chocolate Love

Ingredients
- 200 g soft butter
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 175 g flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 75 g ground almond kernels
- 75 g finely grated dark chocolate
- flour (for working)
- 125 g dark couverture chocolate
Instructions
- 1. Beat the butter and powdered sugar until creamy.
- 2. Stir in the egg yolk, vanilla sugar, orange juice, and cinnamon.
- 3. Mix the flour, almonds, cocoa, and chocolate in a separate bowl.
- 4. Quickly knead these ingredients with the egg yolk-butter mixture into a smooth dough.
- 5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap.
- 6. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- 7. Dust your work surface with some flour.
- 8. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3 millimeters.
- 9. Cut out heart shapes from the dough.
- 10. Place the hearts on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 11. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 12. Bake the hearts in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 10 minutes.
- 13. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
- 14. Carefully lift the hearts off the tray using the baking paper.
- 15. Let the hearts cool completely.
- 16. Chop the chocolate coating into small pieces.
- 17. Melt the chocolate pieces in a double boiler.
- 18. Dip the cooled hearts halfway into the melted chocolate.
- 19. Let the excess chocolate drip off briefly.
- 20. Place the hearts on a piece of aluminum foil to dry.
