  1. 1. Place the strawberries in a sieve.
  2. 2. Rinse them gently under running water.
  3. 3. Pat the berries completely dry with a kitchen towel.
  4. 4. Open the green cardamom pods.
  5. 5. Remove the small black seeds from the pods.
  6. 6. Put the seeds into a mortar.
  7. 7. Grind the seeds finely.
  8. 8. Chop the chocolate coating roughly.
  9. 9. Place the chocolate pieces in a small pot.
  10. 10. Add the ground cardamom to the chocolate.
  11. 11. Place the pot over a pot of hot water.
  12. 12. Melt the chocolate while stirring constantly.
  13. 13. Hold a strawberry firmly by the green stem end.
  14. 14. Dip the strawberry into the liquid chocolate.
  15. 15. Dip about two-thirds of the strawberry.
  16. 16. Repeat this process with all the strawberries.
  17. 17. Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  18. 18. Let the chocolate dry in the air.
  19. 19. Store the finished strawberries in the refrigerator.
  20. 20. Take them out only shortly before serving.
