- 200 ml milk
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 100 g white chocolate
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 140 degrees Celsius. Set the heating mode to top and bottom heat.
- 2. Put the milk, cream, and vanilla sugar into a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 3. Finely chop the chocolate coating. Put the chocolate pieces into a bowl.
- 4. Pour about half of the warm milk-cream mixture over the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
- 5. Stir the egg yolks into the chocolate mixture. Add the remaining milk-cream mixture. Stir everything well.
- 6. Divide the cream evenly among four ovenproof ramekins.
- 7. Place the ramekins into a roasting pan or a large baking dish.
- 8. Pour hot water into the dish until the ramekins are filled about two-thirds with water.
- 9. Place the dish in the preheated oven. Bake the crème brûlée for about 40 minutes until the cream is set.
- 10. Remove the ramekins from the oven. Let them cool down. Put them in the refrigerator. Let them cool completely in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
- 11. Before serving, sprinkle brown sugar over each cream.
- 12. Caramelize the sugar until golden brown. Use a blowtorch or place the ramekins under the hot grill for a short time.
- 13. Serve the crème brûlée. Garnish with fresh berries if desired.
