  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 140 degrees Celsius. Set the heating mode to top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Put the milk, cream, and vanilla sugar into a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil. Remove the pot from the heat.
  3. 3. Finely chop the chocolate coating. Put the chocolate pieces into a bowl.
  4. 4. Pour about half of the warm milk-cream mixture over the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
  5. 5. Stir the egg yolks into the chocolate mixture. Add the remaining milk-cream mixture. Stir everything well.
  6. 6. Divide the cream evenly among four ovenproof ramekins.
  7. 7. Place the ramekins into a roasting pan or a large baking dish.
  8. 8. Pour hot water into the dish until the ramekins are filled about two-thirds with water.
  9. 9. Place the dish in the preheated oven. Bake the crème brûlée for about 40 minutes until the cream is set.
  10. 10. Remove the ramekins from the oven. Let them cool down. Put them in the refrigerator. Let them cool completely in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  11. 11. Before serving, sprinkle brown sugar over each cream.
  12. 12. Caramelize the sugar until golden brown. Use a blowtorch or place the ramekins under the hot grill for a short time.
  13. 13. Serve the crème brûlée. Garnish with fresh berries if desired.
