  2. 2. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise.
  3. 3. Add the milk and cream to a pot.
  4. 4. Bring the milk and cream mixture to a boil.
  5. 5. Stir the cocoa powder into the hot liquid.
  6. 6. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  7. 7. Let the chocolate liquid cool down slightly.
  8. 8. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve.
  9. 9. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until frothy.
  10. 10. Stir the egg yolk and sugar mixture into the cooled chocolate liquid.
  11. 11. Pour the cream into four ramekins.
  12. 12. Place the ramekins in a roasting pan.
  13. 13. Pour boiling water into the roasting pan until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  14. 14. Bake the crème brûlée for 25 minutes in the oven.
  15. 15. Let the ramekins cool down for 2 hours.
  16. 16. Dust the surface of the crème brûlée with powdered sugar.
  17. 17. Caramelize the powdered sugar briefly under the grill.
  18. 18. Serve the crème brûlée garnished with fresh raspberries.
