  1. 1. Grate the chocolate coating (chocolate chips or bar) very finely.
  2. 2. Dip the rim of the drinking glasses briefly into cold water.
  3. 3. Shake off any excess water drops.
  4. 4. Press the glass rims into the grated chocolate.
  5. 5. Let the chocolate rims dry in the air.
  6. 6. Place the remaining chocolate coating in a small saucepan.
  7. 7. Pour 150 milliliters of milk into the saucepan.
  8. 8. Add the cardamom and the chili pod to the saucepan.
  9. 9. Gently warm the mixture on the stove.
  10. 10. Stir constantly until the chocolate has completely melted.
  11. 11. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  12. 12. Let the chocolate milk cool down.
  13. 13. Peel the pear.
  14. 14. Cut the pear into four equal pieces.
  15. 15. Remove the core from the pear pieces.
  16. 16. Place the pear pieces into the blender.
  17. 17. Pour the cooled chocolate milk into the blender.
  18. 18. Add the remaining milk to the blender.
  19. 19. Add the ice cubes to the blender.
  20. 20. Add the cream to the blender.
  21. 21. Blend all ingredients until a smooth liquid forms.
  22. 22. Pour the shake into the prepared glasses.
  23. 23. Serve the shake immediately.
