  1. 1. Roughly chop the chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  2. 2. Bring the coconut milk to a boil in a saucepan.
  3. 3. Pour the hot coconut milk directly over the chocolate pieces.
  4. 4. Cover the bowl and let the mixture rest for five minutes.
  5. 5. Whisk the mixture with a hand mixer until a smooth chocolate sauce forms.
  6. 6. Set the bowl aside and let the sauce cool down for fifteen minutes.
  7. 7. Peel the pears and remove the core.
  8. 8. Cut the pears into small cubes.
  9. 9. Heat the margarine in a frying pan.
  10. 10. Stir the date syrup into the warm margarine.
  11. 11. Add the pear cubes, vanilla powder, and a pinch of fleur de sel (sea salt) to the pan.
  12. 12. Simmer the pears for about five minutes over medium heat.
  13. 13. Remove the pan from the heat and let the pears cool down for ten minutes.
  14. 14. Place the cooled pears into four individual glasses.
  15. 15. Pour the chocolate sauce evenly over the pears.
  16. 16. Crumble the speculaeus cookies by hand.
  17. 17. Sprinkle the cookie crumbs as a topping over the dessert.
