🍽️ Turkey Schnitzel with Mashed Potatoes and Onion-Apple Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 Turkey Schnitzel (approx. 150 g each)
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 20 g Ghee
- 2 Apples
- 1 Red Onion
- 250 ml Chicken Broth
- 2 Tbsp Mustard
- 150 g Crème fraîche
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apples thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the apples into quarters and remove the core.
- 3. Cut the apple pieces into wedges.
- 4. Peel the onion.
- 5. Slice the onion into rings.
- 6. Season the turkey schnitzels with salt and pepper.
- 7. Heat ghee (clarified butter) in a pan.
- 8. Fry the schnitzels in the hot pan.
- 9. Fry each side for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
- 10. Remove the cooked schnitzels from the pan.
- 11. Keep the schnitzels warm.
- 12. Sauté the onion rings and apple pieces in the remaining frying fat.
- 13. Whisk the broth, mustard, and crème fraîche together in a bowl.
- 14. Pour the sauce over the apples and onions in the pan.
- 15. Let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes.
- 16. Plate the turkey schnitzels.
- 17. Pour the warm sauce over the schnitzels.
- 18. Serve the dish with mashed potatoes.
