🍽️ Crispy Schnitzel with Spicy Pepper Stew

Ingredients
- 3 Bell Peppers (1 each red, green, and yellow)
- 2 Onions
- 12 Garlic Cloves
- 4 Tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 2 Chili Peppers
- Salt
- 4 Pork Schnitzel (approx. 120 g each)
- Cayenne Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Wash the peppers thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Remove the stem and the inside of the peppers.
- 3. Halve the peppers lengthwise.
- 4. Carefully remove all white inner membranes and seeds.
- 5. Cut the peppers into bite-sized pieces.
- 6. Peel the onions completely.
- 7. Halve the onions lengthwise.
- 8. Cut the onion halves into thin strips.
- 9. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 10. Slice the garlic into thin rounds.
- 11. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a large pan.
- 12. Add the onions and garlic to the hot pan.
- 13. Sauté the vegetables until they are translucent and soft.
- 14. Add the pepper pieces and thyme to the pan.
- 15. Add the chili peppers crushed in a mortar.
- 16. Fry the vegetables for about six to seven minutes.
- 17. Stir the vegetables occasionally while frying.
- 18. Season the pepper vegetable mixture with salt to taste.
- 19. Pound the schnitzels slightly flatter with a meat mallet.
- 20. Season the schnitzels with salt and cayenne pepper.
- 21. Heat the remaining oil in a separate pan.
- 22. Fry the schnitzels over medium heat.
- 23. Fry each schnitzel on each side for about three minutes until golden brown.
- 24. Arrange the cooked schnitzels on plates.
- 25. Place the pepper vegetables next to the schnitzels.
- 26. Serve the dish immediately while warm.
