🍽️ Quick Vegetable Chili Pot

Ingredients
- 200 g green beans
- salt
- 240 g red beans (1 can)
- corn kernels
- 1 small red chili pepper
- 1 bunch thyme
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 400 g meat sausage
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 285 g peeled tomatoes (1 can)
- cayenne pepper (or chili powder)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the green beans under running water.
- 2. Remove the hard ends of the beans.
- 3. Cut the beans into bite-sized pieces.
- 4. Cook the beans in salted water for 10 to 12 minutes.
- 5. Pour the red beans and corn into a sieve.
- 6. Let the excess water drain off.
- 7. Make a lengthwise cut in the chili pepper.
- 8. Remove the seeds from the pod.
- 9. Rinse the deseeded pod.
- 10. Finely chop the chili pod.
- 11. Rinse the thyme under water.
- 12. Strip the thyme leaves from the stems.
- 13. Drain the cooked green beans.
- 14. Peel the vegetable onion.
- 15. Peel the garlic clove.
- 16. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
- 17. Halve the meat sausage lengthwise.
- 18. Slice the meat sausage.
- 19. Heat the olive oil in a pot.
- 20. Sauté the meat sausage briefly.
- 21. Add the onion to the pot.
- 22. Add the garlic to the pot.
- 23. Add the chili pod to the pot.
- 24. Add the thyme to the pot.
- 25. Sauté the ingredients briefly.
- 26. Add the tomatoes to the pot.
- 27. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 28. Mash the tomatoes with a cooking spoon.
- 29. Add the red beans to the pot.
- 30. Add the corn to the pot.
- 31. Let the mixture simmer gently for 5 minutes.
- 32. Fold the green beans into the mixture.
- 33. Heat the dish again.
- 34. Season with salt to taste.
- 35. Season with cayenne pepper or chili powder to taste.
