🍽️ Quick Cheese Dumplings

Ingredients
- 300 g stale white bread
- 200 ml lukewarm milk
- 1 onion (diced)
- 1 tbsp butter
- Gouda (150 g each, coarsely grated)
- Tilsiter (150 g each, coarsely grated)
- 3 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp flour
- 3 eggs
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 100 g browned butter
Instructions
- 1. Cut the white bread into small cubes. Pour the milk over them and let the mixture soak for about 30 minutes.
- 2. Sauté the onion in hot butter. Add the onions, cheese, parsley, flour, eggs, and spices to the soaked bread and mix everything well together.
- 3. Shape 8 to 10 dumplings from the mixture. Place the dumplings side by side in a bowl. Cover them (possibly with microwave film) and cook them at 600 watts for about 6 minutes, then at 450 watts for another 5 minutes.
- 4. Pour brown butter over the dumplings. Serve them with a tomato salad.
