Ingredients
- 400 g Maccheroni
- Salt
- 500 ml Milk
- 175 g grated Cheddar
- 1 tsp medium-hot mustard
- Pepper (from the mill)
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp chive rings
Instructions
- 1. Boil water in a pot and add salt.
- 2. Add the pasta to the boiling water.
- 3. Cook the pasta until it is al dente.
- 4. Drain the pasta.
- 5. Let the pasta drain well.
- 6. Take a bowl and add the milk.
- 7. Add the cheese to the bowl.
- 8. Add the mustard to the bowl.
- 9. Season the mixture with salt.
- 10. Pepper the mixture.
- 11. Grate some nutmeg into the mixture.
- 12. Add the starch to the bowl.
- 13. Whisk the ingredients in the bowl well.
- 14. Add the drained pasta to the cheese-milk mixture.
- 15. Mix the pasta with the sauce.
- 16. Take four microwave-safe bowls.
- 17. Distribute the pasta mixture evenly among the four bowls.
- 18. Place one bowl in the microwave.
- 19. Set the microwave to high power (approx. 800 Watts).
- 20. Cook the pasta for about 2 minutes.
- 21. Take the bowl out of the microwave after half the time.
- 22. Stir the pasta in the bowl.
- 23. Place the bowl back in the microwave.
- 24. Continue cooking the pasta until the cheese is melted.
- 25. Continue cooking the pasta until the sauce is creamy.
- 26. Take the bowl out of the microwave.
- 27. Cook the pasta in the microwave longer if necessary.
- 28. Repeat steps 18 to 27 for the remaining bowls.
- 29. Sprinkle chives over the finished pasta.
- 30. Grind some pepper over the pasta.
- 31. Serve the pasta.
