🍽️ Christmas Snowman Cakes

Ingredients
- 80 g soft butter
- 80 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp grated lemon zest
- 80 g ground almond kernels
- 80 g flour
- 80 g cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- powdered sugar
- 500 g powdered sugar
- 8 tbsp lemon juice
- marzipan raw mass
- food coloring (red and orange)
- chocolate pearl
- sugar pearls
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Place the rack on the lower level.
- 2. Grease the snowman cake molds with butter.
- 3. Beat the butter, sugar, eggs, and lemon zest with a mixer until the mixture is fluffy and light.
- 4. Gently fold the ground almonds into the butter-sugar mixture.
- 5. Add flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Stir briefly to avoid toughening the dough.
- 6. Fill the prepared molds with the dough.
- 7. Bake the cakes in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
- 8. Remove the cakes from the oven.
- 9. Let them cool in the molds for five more minutes.
- 10. Carefully release the snowman cakes from the molds.
- 11. Let the cakes cool completely on a wire rack.
- 12. Sift powdered sugar through a fine sieve to remove lumps.
- 13. Stir lemon juice into the powdered sugar until a thick, spreadable glaze forms.
- 14. Take some glaze and paint it onto small plates.
- 15. Place the cooled snowman cakes onto the dabbed glaze.
- 16. Let the bottom dry briefly so the cakes stick firmly.
- 17. Paint the remaining glaze over the entire surface of the snowman cakes.
- 18. Shape small scarves and a nose from marzipan paste.
- 19. Color the scarves red and the nose orange.
- 20. Attach the scarves and the nose to the snowman cakes.
- 21. Press chocolate beads into the cakes as eyes.
- 22. Place sugar beads on the cakes as buttons.
