  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Place the rack on the lower level.
  2. 2. Grease the snowman cake molds with butter.
  3. 3. Beat the butter, sugar, eggs, and lemon zest with a mixer until the mixture is fluffy and light.
  4. 4. Gently fold the ground almonds into the butter-sugar mixture.
  5. 5. Add flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Stir briefly to avoid toughening the dough.
  6. 6. Fill the prepared molds with the dough.
  7. 7. Bake the cakes in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. 8. Remove the cakes from the oven.
  9. 9. Let them cool in the molds for five more minutes.
  10. 10. Carefully release the snowman cakes from the molds.
  11. 11. Let the cakes cool completely on a wire rack.
  12. 12. Sift powdered sugar through a fine sieve to remove lumps.
  13. 13. Stir lemon juice into the powdered sugar until a thick, spreadable glaze forms.
  14. 14. Take some glaze and paint it onto small plates.
  15. 15. Place the cooled snowman cakes onto the dabbed glaze.
  16. 16. Let the bottom dry briefly so the cakes stick firmly.
  17. 17. Paint the remaining glaze over the entire surface of the snowman cakes.
  18. 18. Shape small scarves and a nose from marzipan paste.
  19. 19. Color the scarves red and the nose orange.
  20. 20. Attach the scarves and the nose to the snowman cakes.
  21. 21. Press chocolate beads into the cakes as eyes.
  22. 22. Place sugar beads on the cakes as buttons.
