🍰 Delicate Snowflake Cookies

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp powdered sugar
- lemon juice
- powdered sugar (for working)
- 1 kg white fondant
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g flour
- 100 g cornstarch

Instructions
- 1. Cut the butter into small cubes.
- 2. Add the nuts, butter cubes, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, pinch of salt, flour, and starch to a bowl.
- 3. Rub the ingredients together with your fingers until crumbly bits form.
- 4. Knead the crumbs into a soft dough.
- 5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap.
- 6. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 8. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 9. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
- 10. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of about 5 millimeters.
- 11. Cut out snowflakes in various sizes.
- 12. Ensure the largest snowflakes have a diameter of about 8 centimeters.
- 13. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet.
- 14. Bake the cookies in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 15. Remove the cookies from the baking sheet.
- 16. Place them on a wire rack.
- 17. Let the cookies cool completely.
- 18. Stir the powdered sugar with the lemon juice in a small bowl.
- 19. Mix the ingredients into a thick glaze.
- 20. Dust a work surface with powdered sugar.
- 21. Roll out the rolled fondant on the dusted surface to a thickness of about 5 millimeters.
- 22. Cut snowflakes out of the fondant.
- 23. Ensure the fondant snowflakes are the same size as the cookies.
- 24. Brush the cooled cookies thinly with the glaze.
- 25. Press the fondant snowflakes onto the brushed cookies.
- 26. Let the decoration dry.
