  1. 1. Peel the potatoes and wash them under running water.
  2. 2. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise.
  3. 3. Fill a pot with water, add some salt, and bring it to a boil.
  4. 4. Add the potato halves to the boiling water.
  5. 5. Boil the potatoes for about 25 minutes until they are cooked through.
  6. 6. Place the turkey mince in a large bowl.
  7. 7. Add the lemon zest to the mince.
  8. 8. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and curry powder.
  9. 9. Mix all ingredients thoroughly together.
  10. 10. Form about 20 to 24 small balls from the mixture.
  11. 11. Make sure the balls are each 2 to 3 centimeters in size.
  12. 12. Heat oil in a large pan.
  13. 13. Fry the meatballs in batches in the pan.
  14. 14. Fry them for 8 minutes over medium heat.
  15. 15. Turn the meatballs frequently while frying.
  16. 16. Fry them until they are cooked through inside.
  17. 17. Wash the cucumbers under running water.
  18. 18. Cut the cucumbers in half lengthwise.
  19. 19. Scoop out the seeds from the cucumber halves with a teaspoon.
  20. 20. Slice the deseeded cucumber halves crosswise.
  21. 21. Heat one tablespoon of butter in a separate pan.
  22. 22. Add the cucumber slices to the hot butter.
  23. 23. Sauté the cucumbers for 3 minutes over medium heat.
  24. 24. Season the cucumbers with salt and apple cider vinegar.
  25. 25. Place a lid on the pan.
  26. 26. Let the cucumbers braise covered for 2 to 3 minutes over low heat.
  27. 27. Drain the cooking water from the potatoes.
  28. 28. Let the potatoes drip dry well.
  29. 29. Press the potatoes through a potato masher directly into a pot.
  30. 30. Pour the milk over the potatoes.
  31. 31. Add the remaining butter.
  32. 32. Stir everything into a creamy mash.
  33. 33. Season the mashed potatoes with salt.
  34. 34. Add a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg.
  35. 35. Place the mashed potatoes on a plate.
  36. 36. Serve the mash together with the meatballs and the braised cucumbers.
