🍽️ Aromatic Roasted Ham with Grapes

Ingredients
- 2 kg small suckling pig ham without rind (1 small suckling pig ham)
- 1 onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- 2 juniper berries
- 4 cloves
- white wine (for brushing)
- grapes (for garnishing)
Instructions
- 1. Place the ham in a large pot.
- 2. Pour in enough cold water to cover the meat by about two finger widths.
- 3. Finely chop the onion.
- 4. Add the chopped onion, a bay leaf, some peppercorns, cloves, and juniper berries to the water.
- 5. Slowly bring the liquid to a boil.
- 6. Let the ham simmer gently for one hour.
- 7. Remove the ham from the pot and pat it dry.
- 8. Rub the entire surface of the meat with black pepper.
- 9. Place the ham in a roasting pan or baking tray.
- 10. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 11. Put the ham into the preheated oven.
- 12. Roast the ham for about 60 minutes.
- 13. Brush the ham with wine repeatedly during the roasting time.
- 14. Remove the ham from the oven.
- 15. Serve the roast with fresh grapes.
