🍽️ Fresh Ham Wraps with Tomato-Quark Filling

Ingredients
- 2 Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp capers
- 50 g butter
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped thyme
- 300 g quark
- salt
- pepper
- 8 tortilla flatbreads (ready-made product)
- 0.5 head iceberg lettuce
- 8 slices ham (approx. 200 g)
Instructions
- 1. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes.
- 2. Shock the tomatoes immediately with cold water.
- 3. Peel the skin off the tomatoes.
- 4. Halve the tomatoes and remove the core.
- 5. Cut the tomato flesh into small cubes.
- 6. Finely chop the capers.
- 7. Melt the butter in a pan.
- 8. Sauté the thyme in the butter briefly.
- 9. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 10. Stir the tomato cubes and capers into the butter mixture.
- 11. Let the filling cool down completely.
- 12. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 13. Mix the seasoned butter with the quark.
- 14. Season the quark cream with salt and pepper.
- 15. Warm the wraps briefly in the hot oven.
- 16. Spread the quark cream onto the wraps.
- 17. Leave a border of about 2 centimeters free.
- 18. Wash the salad thoroughly.
- 19. Remove the tough stems from the salad.
- 20. Cut the salad into thin strips.
- 21. Top the wraps with the ham first.
- 22. Then add the salad strips.
- 23. Fold in the free edge of the wraps.
- 24. Roll the wraps tightly into a package.
- 25. Cut the finished wraps diagonally in half.
- 26. Wrap the halves in a napkin as desired.
