🍽️ Ham and Spinach Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 300 g spinach leaves
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 piece ginger (approx. 2 cm)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 5 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 200 g turkey salmon ham (in thin slices)
- 0.5 lemon
- 2 stalks mint
- 1 tbsp tahini
- 2 tbsp classic vegetable broth
Instructions
- 1. Toast the sesame seeds in a hot pan without added fat until they are golden brown.
- 2. Remove the toasted sesame seeds from the pan and place them on a plate.
- 3. Remove the tough stems from the fresh spinach.
- 4. Wash the spinach thoroughly.
- 5. Dry the spinach well, for example in a salad spinner.
- 6. Tear the dry spinach into coarse pieces.
- 7. Peel the onion.
- 8. Peel the garlic clove.
- 9. Peel the ginger piece.
- 10. Cut the onion into very small cubes.
- 11. Cut the garlic into very small cubes.
- 12. Cut the ginger into very small cubes.
- 13. Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan.
- 14. Add the diced onion, garlic, and ginger to the hot pan.
- 15. Sauté the vegetables for about two minutes over medium heat.
- 16. Add the prepared spinach to the pan.
- 17. Sauté the spinach briefly until it wilts and becomes soft.
- 18. Stir two tablespoons of teriyaki sauce into the spinach mixture.
- 19. Line a work surface with plastic wrap.
- 20. Place the ham slices side by side on the foil.
- 21. Place one tablespoon of the spinach mixture on the bottom half of each ham slice.
- 22. Roll up the ham slices tightly.
- 23. Cut the ham rolls diagonally in half.
- 24. Arrange the halved rolls on plates.
- 25. Squeeze the juice from the lemon half.
- 26. Wash the mint.
- 27. Shake the mint dry.
- 28. Pluck the mint leaves from the stems.
- 29. Finely chop the mint leaves.
- 30. Whisk the tahini paste with the remaining teriyaki sauce and vegetable broth.
- 31. Stir the chopped mint into the sauce.
- 32. Season the sauce with a little lemon juice.
- 33. Drizzle the ham and spinach rolls with the finished sauce.
- 34. Sprinkle the rolls with the toasted sesame seeds.
