Ingredients
- 4 slices Big-American toast bread (or Tramezzini breads)
- 2 large slices cooked ham
- 2 large slices Gruyère cheese
- rosemary needle
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Place two slices of toast on a work surface.
- 2. Distribute the ham, cheese, and rosemary needles evenly over the toast slices.
- 3. Season the filling with a pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper.
- 4. Cover the filled toast slices with the remaining bread slices.
- 5. Press the sandwiches firmly together so they hold their shape.
- 6. Place the sandwiches into the sandwich maker.
- 7. Toast the sandwiches until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 8. Cut the finished toasts diagonally in half.
- 9. Serve the toasts immediately.
- 10. If you do not have a sandwich maker, heat a pan over low heat.
- 11. Add a little butter to the pan.
- 12. Fry the sandwiches on both sides until golden brown.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
- 14. Place the fried sandwiches on a baking sheet.
- 15. Put the sandwiches into the preheated oven.
- 16. Bake the sandwiches for 5 to 10 minutes.
- 17. Remove the sandwiches from the oven when the cheese has melted.
- 18. Cut the toasts diagonally in half.
- 19. Serve the toasts warm.
