  1. 1. Pour the chickpeas into a sieve.
  2. 2. Rinse them under cold water.
  3. 3. Peel the garlic.
  4. 4. Rinse the parsley under running water.
  5. 5. Shake the parsley dry.
  6. 6. Pluck the leaves from the stems.
  7. 7. Wash the jalapeños.
  8. 8. Remove the tough stems and seeds.
  9. 9. Cut a few thin rings for decoration.
  10. 10. Cut the remaining part of the jalapeños into pieces.
  11. 11. Add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and oil to the blender.
  12. 12. Add the garlic, parsley, and chopped jalapeños.
  13. 13. Blend everything until smooth.
  14. 14. Add a little cold water if needed.
  15. 15. Mix further until the dip is creamy.
  16. 16. Season with salt, pepper, and cumin.
  17. 17. Place the jalapeño rings on top as decoration.
  18. 18. Serve the hummus with pita bread.
