  3. 3. Pour 250 milliliters of broth over the shallots.
  4. 4. Stir in three quarters of a teaspoon of Sambal Oelek (spicy chili paste).
  5. 5. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
  6. 6. Place the couscous into a heatproof bowl.
  7. 7. Pour the hot spiced broth directly over the couscous.
  8. 8. Let the couscous swell according to the instructions on the package.
  9. 9. Cut the lemon in half in the meantime.
  10. 10. Squeeze the lemon halves to extract the juice.
  11. 11. Set aside the remaining broth.
  12. 12. Add two tablespoons of lemon juice into a small bowl.
  13. 13. Add the remaining broth to the lemon juice.
  14. 14. Add some honey.
  15. 15. Season with salt.

  17. 17. Whisk everything vigorously until a homogeneous dressing is formed.
  18. 18. Rinse the shrimp briefly under cold water.
  19. 19. Pat the shrimp dry with kitchen paper.

  31. 31. Add the marinated shrimp to the couscous.
  32. 32. Add the cubed avocado to the couscous.
  33. 33. Gently fold everything together to mix the ingredients.
  34. 34. Taste the salad with the remaining Sambal Oelek.
  35. 35. Add more lemon juice if necessary.
  36. 36. Finally, season to taste with salt and pepper.
