🍽️ Portuguese-style spicy chili dip

Ingredients
- 125 g red chili peppers (variety depending on desired heat level)
- 150 ml olive oil
- 2 cm fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 untreated lemon
- 1 tsp paprika powder (sweet)
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chili peppers under running water.
- 2. Pat the peppers dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Cut the chili peppers in half lengthwise.
- 4. Remove the seeds and the white inner membranes from the chili peppers.
- 5. Place the prepared chilies into a blender.
- 6. Add four to five tablespoons of oil to the blender.
- 7. Blend the chilies and oil in the blender until you have a fine mixture.
- 8. Peel the ginger.
- 9. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 10. Finely chop the ginger.
- 11. Finely chop the garlic.
- 12. Peel the lemon to get the yellow zest.
- 13. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon.
- 14. Add the lemon zest to the chili mixture.
- 15. Add the lemon juice to the chili mixture.
- 16. Add the finely chopped ginger to the chili mixture.
- 17. Add the finely chopped garlic to the chili mixture.
- 18. Add paprika powder to the chili mixture.
- 19. Add salt to the chili mixture.
- 20. Mix all ingredients well together.
- 21. Take a clean jar that you have previously sterilized in boiling water.
- 22. Fill the chili mixture into the prepared jar.
- 23. Pour the remaining oil over the chili mixture.
- 24. Make sure all solid ingredients are completely covered with oil.
