  1. 1. Drain the tomatoes in a sieve, catching the oil in a small bowl. Roughly chop the tomatoes with a sharp knife or cut them into strips.
  2. 2. Peel the garlic and chop it finely. Wash the basil, shake it dry, pluck off the leaves and chop them roughly. Crumble the goat cheese into small pieces with your fingers.
  3. 3. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente, following the instructions on the package.
  4. 4. Measure out 2 teaspoons of the reserved tomato oil and warm it in a pan over low heat. Gently sauté the garlic and tomatoes. Add the basil and goat cheese. Add the drained pasta to the pan, mix everything well, and season the pasta with pepper.
