🍽️ Crunchy Sauerkraut and Apple Gratin

Ingredients
- 75 g tart apples (0.5 tart apples)
- 150 g fresh sauerkraut
- 5 fresh cranberries (or 1 tsp dried fruits)
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tsp slivered almonds
- 0.5 tsp liquid honey
Instructions
- 1. Wash the half apple under running water.
- 2. Dry the apple with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Cut the apple into two halves.
- 4. Remove the core from the apple halves.
- 5. Dice the apple flesh into very small cubes.
- 6. Put the sauerkraut into a large bowl.
- 7. Fluff up the sauerkraut with a fork.
- 8. Add the apple cubes and the cranberries to the sauerkraut.
- 9. Mix everything well together.
- 10. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 11. Transfer the mixture into a small baking dish.
- 12. Spread the almonds evenly over the sauerkraut.
- 13. Drizzle some honey over the almonds.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C with fan or Gas Level 2-3).
- 15. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
- 16. Bake the gratin for about 10 minutes.
