🥗 Fresh Sorrel and Strawberry Salad

Ingredients
- 200 g sorrel
- 400 g fresh, ripe strawberries
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the sorrel leaves under cold water.
- 2. Remove any wilted or damaged leaves.
- 3. Spin the leaves dry or gently pat them with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Arrange the dry sorrel leaves on a serving plate.
- 5. Also wash the strawberries thoroughly.
- 6. Remove the green stems (the leafy tops) from the strawberries.
- 7. Cut each strawberry in half lengthwise.
- 8. Artfully place the halved strawberries on top of the sorrel salad.
- 9. Pour the vinegar into a small bowl.
- 10. Add the oil.
- 11. Whisk the vinegar and oil vigorously with a fork or small whisk until well combined.
- 12. Season the vinaigrette with a pinch of salt.
- 13. Season the vinaigrette with freshly ground pepper to taste.
- 14. Drizzle the finished vinaigrette evenly over the salad.
- 15. Serve the salad immediately to keep it fresh and crisp.
