  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the sorrel leaves under cold water.
  2. 2. Remove any wilted or damaged leaves.
  3. 3. Spin the leaves dry or gently pat them with a kitchen towel.
  4. 4. Arrange the dry sorrel leaves on a serving plate.
  5. 5. Also wash the strawberries thoroughly.
  6. 6. Remove the green stems (the leafy tops) from the strawberries.
  7. 7. Cut each strawberry in half lengthwise.
  8. 8. Artfully place the halved strawberries on top of the sorrel salad.
  9. 9. Pour the vinegar into a small bowl.
  10. 10. Add the oil.
  11. 11. Whisk the vinegar and oil vigorously with a fork or small whisk until well combined.
  12. 12. Season the vinaigrette with a pinch of salt.
  13. 13. Season the vinaigrette with freshly ground pepper to taste.
  14. 14. Drizzle the finished vinaigrette evenly over the salad.
  15. 15. Serve the salad immediately to keep it fresh and crisp.
