🍽️ Grilled Sardines with Thyme

Ingredients
- 1 kg sardines approx. 12 pieces (ready for cooking)
- sea salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 handful thyme
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the sardines under running water.
- 2. Thoroughly dry the fish with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Season the inside of the sardines with salt and pepper.
- 4. Rinse the thyme sprigs and shake them dry.
- 5. Stuff the thyme sprigs into the hollowed-out sardines.
- 6. Season the outside of the fish with salt and pepper as well.
- 7. Drizzle some olive oil over the seasoned sardines.
- 8. Place the fish on the hot grill.
- 9. Grill the sardines for about 10 minutes.
- 10. Turn the fish occasionally while grilling.
- 11. Arrange the finished sardines on a platter or plates.
- 12. Garnish the dish with lemon wedges.
- 13. Serve the sardines immediately.
