Ingredients
- 5 Oranges
- 2 Lemons (of which the juice)
- 3 Sugar
- 125 ml Port wine
- 2 bottles Red wine
- 1 bottle Mineral water
Instructions
- 1. Peel the oranges completely.
- 2. Slice the oranges into thin rounds.
- 3. Cut each slice into four equal pieces.
- 4. Place the orange wedges into a large pitcher or bowl.
- 5. Pour the lemon juice over the oranges.
- 6. Add the sugar.
- 7. Pour in the port wine.
- 8. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for one hour.
- 9. Let the mixture chill so the flavors can meld together.
- 10. Remove the pitcher from the refrigerator after one hour.
- 11. Pour the cold red wine into the mixture.
- 12. Add the mineral water.
- 13. Stir the sangria gently to avoid crushing the fruit.
- 14. Serve the drink immediately.
