🍽️ Fluffy Salzburg Nockerl

Ingredients
- 5 egg whites
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 tbsp whipping cream
- 1 vanilla pod (of which the seeds)
- 3 tbsp flour (fold in)
- butter (for the mold)
- powdered sugar (for serving)
Instructions
- 1. Gather all ingredients so you can start right away.
- 2. Whisk the egg yolks with the vanilla seeds and the cream.
- 3. Add one tablespoon of vanilla sugar.
- 4. Beat the mixture until it is creamy and frothy.
- 5. Add a pinch of salt to the egg whites.
- 6. Beat the egg whites until very stiff.
- 7. Sift the sugar into the egg white mixture little by little.
- 8. Continue beating until a creamy meringue forms.
- 9. Add the meringue to the egg yolk mixture.
- 10. Sift the flour over the mixture.
- 11. Fold everything together gently until homogeneous.
- 12. Grease the baking dish well with butter.
- 13. Fill the mixture into the prepared dish.
- 14. Mound the mixture decoratively using a spoon.
- 15. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 16. Bake the Nockerl for about 12 minutes.
- 17. Do not open the oven door during the cooking time.
- 18. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the finished Nockerl.
- 19. Serve the dessert immediately while warm.
