🥤 Moist Chocolate Cake in a Jar

Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate (70 % cocoa content)
- 200 g soft butter
- 8 eggs
- 100 g whole cane sugar
- 150 g whole wheat flour
- 50 g ground almonds
Instructions
- 1. Roughly chop the chocolate.
- 2. Melt 150 grams of the chocolate over a bowl of hot water (bain-marie).
- 3. Beat the butter until creamy and fluffy.
- 4. Separate the eggs. Carefully lift the yolks away from the whites.
- 5. Stir the egg yolks into the melted chocolate little by little.
- 6. Stir the chocolate-yolk mixture into the butter.
- 7. Whip the egg whites with the sugar until stiff peaks form.
- 8. Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate batter.
- 9. Mix the flour with the almonds and the remaining chocolate.
- 10. Gently fold the flour mixture into the batter as well.
- 11. Fill the batter into the jars.
- 12. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Celsius with fan or gas mark 2).
- 13. Bake the cakes for about 40 minutes.
- 14. Take the jars out of the oven.
- 15. Place the lids on the jars.
- 16. Let the cakes cool down completely inside the jars.
