  2. 2. Add the egg yolks, the cream, the baking powder, the salt, and the vodka.
  3. 3. Knead everything into a firm and pliable dough.
  4. 4. Dust your work surface with some flour.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough thinly.
  6. 6. Cut the dough into strips of about 2 by 12 centimeters using a pastry wheel.
  7. 7. Make a longitudinal cut in the middle of each strip.
  8. 8. Pull one end of the dough through the opening to form a loop.
  9. 9. Heat the lard to about 170 degrees Celsius.
  10. 10. Fry the loops in batches in the hot fat.
  11. 11. Cook them for 2 to 3 minutes until they are golden brown.
  12. 12. Let the excess fat drain on kitchen paper.
  13. 13. Serve the pastries immediately.
