  2. 2. Carefully cut out the orange segments from the membranes.
  3. 3. Place the segments into a large jug.
  4. 4. Squeeze the juice from the remaining fruit pulp.
  5. 5. Add the orange juice to the jug.
  6. 6. Add the cinnamon sticks and star anise to the jug.
  7. 7. Hang the tea bags into the jug.
  8. 8. Pour about 800 milliliters of boiling water over the ingredients.
  9. 9. Let the punch steep for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how strong you want it.
  10. 10. Remove the tea bags.
  11. 11. Sweeten the punch to taste with honey.
  12. 12. Stir in the rum.
  13. 13. Pour the hot punch into glasses.
  14. 14. Serve the punch immediately.
