Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. Bring the apricots and apple juice to a boil in a small saucepan. Simmer the mixture covered for about 10 minutes. Season with cinnamon, lemon juice, and vanilla sugar. Puree the mixture thoroughly and let it cool down completely.
  2. 2. Add red wine, Marsala, sugar, cinnamon, and the lemon wedge to a tall, small saucepan. Heat the ingredients gently.
  3. 3. Peel the pears but leave the stem end attached. Place the pears in the pot with the wine mixture. Simmer them covered for about 15 minutes. The pears should become soft but not fall apart. Spoon some of the wine liquid over the fruit occasionally.
  4. 4. Spread the apricot sauce onto the plates. Remove the drained pears and place them on top of the sauce. Garnish with mint and serve.
  5. 5. Tip: A quick apricot sauce for those in a hurry!
  6. 6. Take a small can of apricot halves and puree them together with 100 milliliters of apple juice and the spices.
