🥗 Red Cabbage and Apple Salad with Walnuts

Ingredients
- 1 small red cabbage
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- sea salt
- 1 apple
- 1 honey
- lemon juice
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp cress
- 50 g walnut kernels
Instructions
- 1. Wash the red cabbage and cut it into four large quarters.
- 2. Remove the outer leaves and cut out the hard core in the center.
- 3. Cut the cabbage into very fine strips or use a grater to shred it.
- 4. Heat some oil in a frying pan.
- 5. Add the cut cabbage to the hot pan and sauté it briefly.
- 6. Deglaze the cabbage with a small amount of water.
- 7. Lightly salt the vegetables.
- 8. Cover the pan and simmer the cabbage on low heat for about 5 minutes until tender.
- 9. Wash the apple thoroughly.
- 10. Cut the apple into four parts.
- 11. Remove the core from the apple.
- 12. Cut the flesh into thin wedges.
- 13. Add the apple wedges to the warm red cabbage.
- 14. Season the salad with honey and lemon juice.
- 15. Chop the herbs and walnuts roughly.
- 16. Fold in the chopped ingredients into the salad.
- 17. Serve the salad lukewarm or cold.
