  1. 1. Place the bulgur in a bowl.
  2. 2. Cover the bulgur with lukewarm water.
  3. 3. Let the bulgur soak for about 20 minutes.
  4. 4. Wash the bell pepper thoroughly.
  5. 5. Remove the seeds and white membranes from the bell pepper.
  6. 6. Dice the bell pepper into small cubes.
  7. 7. Wash the tomatoes.
  8. 8. Remove the stem ends and seeds from the tomatoes.
  9. 9. Dice the tomatoes into small cubes as well.
  10. 10. Wash the spring onions.
  11. 11. Slice the spring onions into thin rings.
  12. 12. Wash the parsley.
  13. 13. Shake the parsley dry.
  14. 14. Chop the parsley leaves finely.
  15. 15. In a separate bowl, mix the tomato paste with ajvar.
  16. 16. Add the olive oil to the seasoning mixture.
  17. 17. Add the sambal oelek.
  18. 18. Add some garlic powder.
  19. 19. Add some paprika powder.
  20. 20. Add the lemon juice.
  21. 21. Add the diced bell pepper to the bulgur mixture.
  22. 22. Add the diced tomatoes to the bulgur mixture.
  23. 23. Add the spring onion rings to the bulgur mixture.
  24. 24. Add the chopped parsley to the bulgur mixture.
  25. 25. Gently fold the salad to combine all ingredients.
  26. 26. Let the salad marinate for at least 1 hour.
  27. 27. Serve the salad in small Weck jars as desired.
