  4. 4. Add the vegetable broth and tarragon to a small pot.
  5. 5. Bring the broth with tarragon to a boil.
  6. 6. Add the red lentils to the boiling broth.
  7. 7. Let the lentils simmer on low heat.
  8. 8. Wait for 5 minutes.
  9. 9. Fold the apple wedges into the lentils.
  10. 10. Simmer the dish for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  11. 11. Continue cooking until all liquid has been absorbed by the lentils.
  12. 12. Season the dish generously with salt and pepper.
  13. 13. Fold the nuts into the finished dish.
  14. 14. Drizzle the dish with walnut oil before serving.
