  7. 7. Cut the shallot into fine cubes or strips.
  8. 8. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a separate pan.
  9. 9. Sauté the halved cherry tomatoes and the shallot briefly in the hot oil.
  10. 10. Remove the pan from the heat.
  11. 11. Distribute the warm tomatoes and shallots over the toasted bread slices.
  12. 12. Pluck some chervil leaves and sprinkle them on top.
  13. 13. Season the toast with salt and pepper to taste.
  14. 14. Serve the bruschetta immediately while it is still warm or lukewarm.
